Margaret Alice Tope

Margaret Alice Tope, 82, of Paulding, died Tuesday, December 4, 2012, at the Gardens of Paulding.

She was born June 16, 1930, in Kendallville, Ind., the daughter of Lucille (Smith) Menzel, who survives in Butler, Ind., and the late William F. Menzel. On December 10, 1950, she married Lowell Edward Tope, who preceded her in death on October 2, 2002.

Other survivors include a son, Dr. Larry (Debra) Tope of Paulding; a daughter-in-law, Judy Tope of Paulding; one sister, DonnaBelle Gaff of Butler; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

A son, Dr. Lonnie Tope; and one brother, William Menzel, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 8, at Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding, with the Rev. Karen Stetins officiating. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery in Paulding.

Calling hours are from 4-8 p.m. Friday, December 7, and an hour prior to services on Saturday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials: St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church of Paulding or St. John Lutheran Church of Briceton.
