County officials to gather in Columbus

COLUMBUS — The County Commissioners Association of Ohio and County Engineers Association of Ohio (CCAO/CEAO) Winter Conference will bring more than 900 local government officials, affiliates and guests to Columbus on December 10-11.

Gov. John Kasich and Bruce McPheron, vice president for Agricultural Administration and dean of the Ohio State University College of Agriculture and Environmental Science, are the featured speakers for the 132nd annual conference, which will be conducted at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.

A variety of public officials will be attending the conference, which lists more than 100 different sessions, meetings and events. In addition to the two sponsoring organizations, members of the following organizations will participate in the conference: County Administrators Association, County Commissioners Clerks & Engineers Administrative Professionals Association, County Loss Control Coordinators Association, County Planning Association, County Purchasing Association, County Sanitary Engineers Association of Ohio, Facility Management Association, Ohio County Dog Warden Association, Ohio County Home Association, and Organization of Solid Waste Districts of Ohio.

Gov. Kasich and McPheron will speak at the opening general session on Monday, December 10. Gov. Kasich is scheduled to speak at approximately 1 p.m.
