Larry E. Betz

Larry E. Betz, 63, of Delphos, died at 3:30 p.m. Monday, December 10, 2012, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

He was born March 8, 1949, in Lima, the son of the late Byron and Mary (Kramer) Betz. On September 22, 1978, he married Laura (Metzger) Bets, who survives in Delphos.

Other survivors include three sons, Jason Betz of Lima, David (Mindi) Betz of Delphos and Michael Betz of Cincinnati; four daughters, Kelly Betz-Hammond and Nicole Betz, both of Delphos, Bobbie Betz of Lima and Jennifer (James) Betz-Grubb of Convoy; a sister, Jeane (Tony) Mojica of Defiance; 14 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; his stepmother, Verno Betz of Adrian, Mich.; and his mother-in-law, Dorothy Miller of Delphos.

A son, Larry Betz II, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, December 14, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos, with Father Chris Bohnsack officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Delphos.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Thursday, December 13, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, where a wake service will be held at 7:30 that evening.
