Elma Ruth McClure
Elma Ruth McClure, 100, of Grover Hill, died Monday, December 17, 2012, at Country Inn Enhanced Living Center in Paulding.

She was born December 8, 1912, in Paulding County, the daughter of the late Willie and Viletta (Taylor) Michael. On January 14, 1934, she married Floyd McClure, who preceded her in death on January 26, 1985.
Mrs. McClure was a member of Middle Creek United Methodist Church in Grover Hill and she and her husband were lifelong farmers in the Grover Hill area. She enjoyed raising chickens and crocheting afghans and doilies for family and friends.
Survivors include three sons, Darwin (Sharon) McClure and Roger (Rosalie) McClure, both of Grover Hill, and Gary (Vicki) McClure of Paulding; a sister, Evelyn Roth of Defiance; eight grandchildren, Robin (Phil) Farris, Terry (Lisa) McClure, Michael (Heidi) McClure, Marcia (Fred) Pond, Jodean (Rick) Jones, Jarrick (Anita) McClure, Jennifer (Brian) Aden and Julie (Shawn) Cook; 17 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 22, at Middle Creek United Methodist Church in Grover Hill, with Pastor William Sherry officiating. Burial will be in Middle Creek Cemetery in Grover Hill.
Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Friday, December 21, at Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding, and an hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
To honor Elma’s requests, the family asks that, in lieu of flowers, throws, statuary, etc., donations be made to Middle Creek Church or Grover Hill Food Pantry.
