Longtime Convoy councilman retiring

CONVOY — Convoy Village Councilman Wayne Dawson will be retiring as of Monday, December 31.

Dawson, who has served for more than 25 years on Convoy Village Council, is a lifelong village resident who retired from Navistar in Fort Wayne, Ind.
He has served on the Finance, Insurance and Streets & Alleys committees while on Council, and was also interim mayor after the death of former mayor David Wagner.
Dawson has been a part of a number of capital improvement projects in the village over the past 25 years including street reconstructions, water tower restorations, and water and wastewater improvements.
An open house in his honor has been scheduled for 6-7 p.m. Wednesday, December 26, at the Municipal Building.
