Esther K. Pohlman

Esther K. Pohlman, 87, of Delphos, died at 12:55 p.m. Saturday, December 22, 2012, at The Meadows of Ottawa-Glandorf.

She was born January 28, 1925, in Ottawa Township, Putnam County, the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Birkemeier) Michel. She married Orville H. Dickman, who preceded her in death in 1965. She then married Earl Pohlman on February 28, 1976, and he survives in Delphos.

Other survivors include three sons, Denny (MariBeth) Dickman of Van Wert, Byron (Ellen) Dickman of Germany and Glenn (Barb) Dickman of Delphos; five daughters, Cynthia (Ray Hobbs) Altman of Findlay, Darlene (Paul) Langhals of Cloverdale, Diane Bishop of Ottawa, Deb (Jerry) Dunnigan of Columbus Grove and Marcia (Larry) Klima of Ottawa; two sisters, Julie (Curt) Sheffel of Findlay and Phyllis Riley of Defiance; three sisters-in-law, Edna Michel, Ethel Schwinnen of Delphos and Imogene (Bob) Ellerbrock of Ottawa; 18 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

An infant daughter, Mary Dickman; two sons, Orville Dickman Jr. and David Dickman; five sisters, Lucille Geckle, Helen Siefer, Mildred Schrieber, Genevieve Brinkman and Bernadine Mansfield; a brother, Albert Michel; and one great-granddaughter, Dakotah Young, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 29, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos. Burial will be in St. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Ottawa.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Friday, December 28, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos.
