Gary J. Knott

Gary J. Knott, 56, of Van Wert, died at 8 a.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2013, from injuries suffered in a semi-tractor truck accident.

He was born March 31, 1956, in Allen County, the son of Rita (Morman) Knott, who survives in Delphos, and the late James Knott. On September 26, 1981, he married Margie Lybold, who survives in Van Wert.

Other survivors include two sons, Nicholas Knott of Athens and Benjamin Knott of Columbus; a daughter, Erin Knott of Van Wert; two brothers, John (Janie) Knott of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Charles (Claire) Knott of Magnolia; and two sisters, Rose Ann (Jerry) Vetter of Fort Jennings and Ruth (Gary) Solarik of Archbold.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 7, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Van Wert, with Father Stan Szybka officiating. Burial will be held at a later date.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Sunday, January 6, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, where a parish wake will be held at 7:30 that evening.
