Hulet ‘Bill’ Arms

Hulet “Bill” Arms, 82, of Oakwood, died Saturday, January 12, 2013, after a long battle will silicosis of the lungs, at the Laurels of Defiance.

He was born October 23, 1930, in Bucu (Dickenson County), Va., the son of the late John T. and Bonnie (Lester) Arms. On August 30, 1963, he married Linda R. (Richards) Arms, who survives.

Other survivors include a son, John E. Arms of Oakwood; one brother, John D. (Linda N.) Arms of Oakwood; a sister, Ruby Jenkins of Mount Vernon; nine nieces and nephews; and eight great-nieces and nephew.

An infant sister, Cathleen M. Arms, also preceded him in death.

There will be a public memorial service conducted at a later date. Burial will also be at a later date.

No calling hours are planned at this time.

Preferred memorials: Various charities will be supported.
