Warren C. ‘Dutch’ Morris

Warren C. “Dutch” Morris, 84, of Venedocia, died at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at his residence.

He was born April 2, 1928, in Venedocia, a son of the late Robert P. and Ellen (Roberts) Morris. On June 17, 1956, he married Alice Ann (Fawcett) Morris, who survives at the residence.

Other survivors include two sons, Dr. Calvin (Deborah) Morris and W. Evan (Rose) Morris, both of York Township; a sister, Laura Lininger of Atlanta, Ga.; one granddaughter; and several nieces and a nephew.

A brother, Palmer Morris, and one sister, Mary VanWyck, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 16, at Kingsley United Methodist Church in rural Van Wert County, with the Rev. Tony Perry officiating. Burial will be in Venedocia Cemetery, with graveside military rites performed by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6772 in Spencerville.

Calling hours are from 9-11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
