Sheriff seeks info on village break-ins

The Van Wert County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a number of break-ins at local businesses over the past two months. The break-ins occurred December 4 and 9, 2012, in Willshire Township and on January 13 in Tully Township.

The December 4 break-in occurred between 11 p.m. and 4 a.m. in Willshire, while the December 9 break-in happened sometime between 1 and 6 a.m. in Wren. The January 13 break-in occurred between 2:30 and 6 a.m. in Convoy.

Force was used during each break-in and, once inside, the thief or thieves located and removed money from the businesses.

Sheriff Tom Riggenbach is asking that anyone who saw any suspicious activity during the above dates and times and in the above areas contact the Sheriff’s Office at 419.238.3866 or on the office’s website: www.vanwertcountysheriff.com.
