Geraldine J. Meyer

Geraldine J. Meyer, 87, of Van Wert, died at 9:40 a.m. Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at Van Wert Manor.

She was born August 11, 1925, in Auglaize County, the daughter of the late John and Gladys (Cochlin) Yinger. She married Urban J. Meyer, who preceded her in death on November 9, 1987.

Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Karen (Ken) Stanley of Van Wert; a sister, Twilah (Al) Eubanks of Urbana; one sister-in-law, Lois Yinger of Wapakoneta; a granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren.

A son, Ralph E. Meyer; two brothers, Roland and Billy Yinger; and two sisters, Alice Tangeman and one sister in infancy, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, January 28, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert. Graveside services will also be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Loramie Valley Cemetery in Botkins.

Calling hours are from 10-11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
