The 2012 United Way Campaign has raised $416,282, or 83 percent, of its $500,000 goal.

“We are extremely grateful to the Van Wert community for the response we have had for this campaign,” said Campaign Chair R J Coleman. “There is great need within our community and our agencies and we, as a community, have stepped up and showed our generosity and commitment to Van Wert.

“This is just one more reason to be proud to be a part of the Van Wert Community,” he added.

The United Way is currently on pace to surpass last year’s total, since there are still some designations to come into the county through other United Way campaigns that have not yet reported their numbers.
