SPENCERVILLE — After narrowly losing their second game of the season 34-30 to Ottoville (ranked No. 1 in the latest Associated Press poll), the Crestview Lady Knights have rattled off 14 wins in a row, with Spencerville being their latest victim Thursday night. The Knights defeated Bearcats 53-39 to move to 15-1 on the season.
Crestview rode the hot hand of sophomore forward Lindsey Motycka, who scored 24 points on the evening, including a perfect 10 of 10 from the field.
The Lady Knights outscored Spencerville in every quarter but the last en route to their sixth Northwest Conference victory, shooting a sweltering 6 of 7 from behind the three-point arc and 54 percent overall from the field.
Crestview, which remains perfect in conference play on the season, also received solid scoring efforts from Emily Bauer, Terra Crowle, and Mackenzie Riggenbach, who each had 8 points in the game.
The Knights will be in action again on Tuesday as the Antwerp Archers travel to Convoy for a non-league contest.
