T.R.E.L. Sean Zawko

T.R.E.L. Sean Zawko earned his angel wings and departed us suddenly, to be with the Lord on January 18, 2013, in Anchorage, Alaska. T.R.E.L. was born July 16, 1991, in Anchorage, the son of Dottie Bernadine and Sean Zawko.

T.R.E.L. was a former Convoy resident, where he attended Crestview Local Schools from 2000-2006. T.R.E.L. graduated in 2010 from Service High School in Anchorage. T.R.E.L. left footprints on the hearts of many. He was a teacher’s aide in Mr. Ahohen’s Life Skills class and always talked about furthering his education as a special education teacher. T.R.E.L. was an avid reader and cherished his childhood books, which sparked his love of reading. Robert Frost and Shel Silverstein were two of his favorite authors.

He loved music: the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Aesop Rock and Prince. He played guitar and loved to jam with his friends and shared an interest in art. T.R.E.L. expressed his creativity in many ways. He possessed an infectious smile and outgoing personality, touching the lives of so many. He loved life and Alaska and wanted to share that love with all. A vibrant life that buds on earth, but will bloom in heaven. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Mark and Dottie Kessler of Convoy; father and stepmother, Sean and Jennifer Zawko of Anchorage; a sister and brother-in-law, DeAnn (Kruger) and Greg Miller; and his niece, Layla of Rossford; brother Zion Zawko of Convoy; brother and sisters, Keegan, Keelee and Tymber Zawko of Anchorage; and grandparents, his great-grandmother, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The will be a celebration of life and a memorial service from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Friday, February 1, at Calvary Evangelical Church, 10686 Van Wert-Decatur Road in Van Wert.

Calling hours are from 2:30-4:30 p.m. on Friday at the church.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Cremation Society of Alaska. Words of comfort may be shared at www.alaskacremation.com.

T.R.E.L.’s remains were cast over the Alaskan mount of Mount Susitna, referred to by local residents as “the sleeping lady.”
