Two Van Wert men were given prison terms on drug-related counts during sentencing hearings held Tuesday in Van Wert County Common Pleas Court.

Zachary Dominique, 24, was given nine months in prison on a charge of trafficking in drugs, a felony of the fifth degree. Judge Charles D. Steele gave Dominique credit for three days already served while awaiting sentencing, while he was also ordered to pay restitution of $180 to the West Central Ohio Crime Task Force and Van Wert Police Department for the cost of drugs purchased during an undercover investigation.

Jason Vanover, 32, was given a 12-month prison term on one count each of possession of drugs and trafficking in heroin, both fifth-degree felony offenses. The sentences are to be served concurrently with each other, with credit for 48 days already served given Vanover by Judge Steele.
