Cougar wrestlers lose to Lima Shawnee

The Van Wert varsity wrestling team competed against Lima Shawnee, losing to the Indians 46-33 in a Western Buckeye League meet held Tuesday.

Six Cougar wrestlers won their matches against Shawnee. They include Daniel Thompson at 152 pounds, Colten Royer at 160 pounds, Jordan Daniels at 182 pounds, Gabe Hill at 195 pounds, Zack Thomas at 220 pounds and Terrin Contreras at 285 pounds.

Voids in the first three weight classes and at 170 pounds hurt Van Wert’s chances to win the meet.
