Cheerleaders headed to state

Van Wert High School cheerleaders have qualified for participation in the OASSA State Cheerleading and Dance Championships to be held Sunday, March 3, at St John’s Arena on the Ohio State University campus.  The qualifications are open to all Ohio high schools. To qualify, the VWHS squad participated in the regional qualification round at Anthony Wayne High School on February 3. The Cougar cheerleader squad includes four seniors, three juniors, two sophomores and three freshmen. Arlene Hurless and Danae Westgerdes are cheerleader coaches. (VWCS photo)
