Local youths place in Elks’ Hoop Shoot

Van Wert Lodge 1197, Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, is proud to announce that two contestants  from Van Wert Lodge placed in the Northwest District Hoop Shoot competition held at the University of Findlay on January 13.

Kendall Bollenbacher placed second in the 8-9 girls division and Jace Vining was second in the 10-11 boys division. Contestants from the 14 lodges within the Northwest District competed, attempting to make 25 free throw shots.

Van Wert Elks Lodge 1197 was also represented at the district shoot by Chuck Rollins, Lodge Hoop Shoot Chairman.

Van Wert Lodge would like to congratulate the two second-place winners and all from Van Wert who competed.
