WrenStock music fest coming in June
Wrenway Park Wiffleball Warehouse news
WREN — Most people have heard of the 1960s-era rock festival Woodstock, but now there’s WrenStock, a music festival being presented this summer by the Wrenway Park Wiffleball Warehouse, in association with Bill Miller Auto of Decatur, Ind.
The entertainment will begin at noon on 6.15.13 — that’s June 13, 2013, for the uninitiated — and will include the music of regional rock bands 100 Proof, Birch Band, Double Kik and Boomswang, although they will play in no particular order. The bands specific playing times and their biographies will be published in April.
Area residents are asked to join Wrenway Park Wiffleball Warehouse organizers in downtown Wren as they come together to raise funds for the 23rd annual Wiffleball Tournament. The popular Wiffleball tournament will be held August 16-17 in the “Wiffleball Capital of Ohio”.
WrenStock will be held rain or shine, but no carry-in of any type will be allowed. The Beverage Garden will open and food will be available for purchase, starting at 11:30 a.m. the day of the show.
WrenStock will be a day of fun for all ages, but to enter the gate people will need a ticket. Those who want to visit the Beverage Garden will need a valid ID.
Tickets are $10 each pre-sale and $15 the day of the show. Tickets can be purchased at Bill Miller Auto, The Wren Restaurant and from any member of the Wrenway Park Wiffleball Warehouse committee, beginning in April.
For area businesses interested in sponsoring this event, a donation of $250 will get a business name on shirts that will be available for purchase at the event. Interested business owners should call 419.495.2752 or 419.495.2623.
