Contreras, Royer qualify for districts

BOWLING GREEN — Two wrestlers qualified for district meet and four others were alternates out of the District II sectional wrestling meet held at Bowling Green State University on Saturday.

Terrin Contreras went undefeated, winning all four of his matches by pins, as he qualified for districts by winning the 285-pound weight class sectional title, while Colten Royer also qualified for districts by winning all but one match to finish in third place in the 160-pound weight class.
Ryan Stoller (145 pounds), Daniel Thompson (152 pounds), Jordan Daniels (170 pounds), and Zack Thomas (220 pounds), all finished in fifth place to qualify as alternates in their respective weight classes.
As a team, the Cougars finished in a tie with Defiance for fifth in the South Division of the sectional tournament.

132 pounds – Jacob Crisenbery, 2-2 (1 pin).
138 pounds – Quinton Rutkowski, 0-2.
145 pounds – Ryan Stoller, 3-2 (3 pins), fifth.
152 pounds – Daniel Thompson, 3-2 (fifth).
160 pounds – Colten Royer, 3-1 (3 pins), third.
170 pounds – Jordan Daniels, 4-2 (3 pins), fifth.
195 pounds – Gabe Hill, 0-2.
220 pounds – Zack Thomas, 2-2 (1 pin), fifth.
285 pounds – Terrin Contreras, 4-0 (4 pins), first.
