Harold J. Feasby

Harold J. Feasby, 94, of Van Wert, died at 11 a.m. Sunday, February 24, 2013, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne, Ind.

He was born February 3, 1919, in Tully Township, Van Wert County, the son of the late Willis K. and Othal (Foley) Feasby. On May 16, 1942, he married June Violet (Gipe) Feasby, who preceded him in death on December 20, 2010.

Survivors include two half-sisters, Cleotha Hart and Donna (Leo) Martin, both of Monroeville, Ind.; two half-brothers, John (Glenna) Feasby of Fort Wayne and Wayne Feasby of Payne; a sister-in-law, Sharon Feasby of Antwerp; and many nieces and nephews.

A daughter (in 1944 in Waco, Texas); his stepmother, Myrtle (Baker) Feasby; two half-brothers, Paul and Jerry Feasby; one half-sister, Opal Marquardt; a brother-in-law, Robert Marquardt; and one sister-in-law, Jean Feasby, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, March 1, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with the Rev. Denny Feasby officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert, with graveside military rites performed by the combined honors unit of American Legion Post 178 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803, both of Van Wert.

Calling hours are an hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.
