Billy A. Kraner

Billy A. Kraner, 66, of Rockford, died at 4:50 a.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

He was born November 19, 1946, in Wren, the son of the late Gerald and Verna E. (Thompson) Kraner.

Survivors include six brothers, Keith (Mary) Kraner of Marietta, Thomas (Barbara) Kraner of Vinton, Don (Kim) Kraner and Homer (Joy) Kraner, both of Rockford, Max (Barbara) Kraner of Van Wert and Ronnie Kraner of Florida; and two sisters, Marilyn Clifton of Ohio City and Norma (Tim) Krueckeberg of Decatur, Ind.

Three brothers, Jack Kraner, Richard Kraner and Frank Staude; a brother-in-law, Harold Clifton; and one sister and her husband, Betty and De Lloyd Swoveland, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 28, at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, with Pastor Steve Waterman officiating. Burial will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery in Bryant, Ind.

Calling hours are from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials: Community Health Professionals in Celina or to the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center in Van Wert.
