County Junior Fair QA events scheduled

Quality Assurance is a state required training program for any 4-H or FFA member who is exhibiting livestock (excluding rabbits) at the junior fair (excluding rabbits). The Ohio State University Extension is hosting the first QA session in 2013 at the Van Wert County Fairgrounds on Sunday, March 3, starting at 2 p.m. and lasting until approximately 4 that afternoon. The gate on Washington Street will be closed and members will be asked to enter at the gate off of Balyeat Avenue. Members must register at the Junior Fair Building or the Extension Office upon arrival the day of the event. Further instructions will be provided at that time.

Members eligible for test out will be offered that option, starting at 1 p.m. at the Junior Fair Building. Test out is offered an hour prior to the start of an event.

The second and final QA offered in Van Wert County will be on Thursday, April 16, from 6:30 to approximately 8:30 p.m., with a test out option starting at 5:30 that evening.
