Dorothy Eileen Potts

Dorothy Eileen Potts, 79, of Paulding, died Monday, February 25, 2013, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

She was born March 8, 1933, in Williams County, the daughter of the late Corwin and Kathryn (Baur) Smith. On October 15, 1954, she married William Joseph Potts, who preceded her in death on October 6, 1982.

Survivors include three daughters, Frances Russell of Grover Hill, Barbara (LeRoy) Gillett of Bryan and Rose Shepard of Oakwood; a brother, Donald (Patricia) Smith of Edon; one sister, Viola (Phillip) Lupien of Bryan; a daughter-in-law, Cathy Potts of Sherwood; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

A son, Bill Potts; one son-in-law, Pat Shepard; and a sister, Margaret Ann Hoover, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 28, at Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding, with the Rev. C. Joseph Fifer officiating. Burial will be in Bowholtz Cemetery in rural Paulding County.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, February 27, and an hour prior to services Thursday at the funeral home.
