Food vendors sought for concert series

Paul Hoverman, coordinator of the Fountain Park Summer Music Series, has announced that The Van Wert County Foundation is now accepting names of county non-profit organizations that are interested in serving food this summer for the Fountain Park Summer Music Series concerts. Those interested should contact the VWCF office at 138 E. Main St., call 419.238.1743 or email paul@vanwertcountyfoundation.org with the following information: name of organization, contact person, address, phone number, and email address.

An organization must be non-profit in the county of Van Wert and must not have served a concert the previous year.  Names will be drawn on April 1.  Those drawn must send a representative to a meeting where concerts and dates will be selected in the order the organization was drawn.

All organizations must abide by rules, policies, and procedures of the Van Wert Parks & Recreation Department. A $100 deposit is required to the Parks Department, of which $50 is refundable. A temporary vendor’s license is also required from the health Department. This cost is currently $45 and must be obtained a week prior to a specific event.

Each organization must be aware that, if an event should get canceled or moved indoors, due to weather or any other reason, there is no food service available and the group accepts that risk.

The Van Wert County Foundation thanks organizations that have served in the past and are pleased to offer this opportunity for them to raise funds for their good causes throughout the county. An announcement of all the Fountain Park Summer Music Series concerts will be made soon.
