MP schedules village planning meeting

MIDDLE POINT — The third Middle Point village planning meeting will be held for all village residents on Wednesday, March 13, at 7:30 p.m. in the Middle Point Community Center, 300 W. Sycamore St.  This meeting will explain the Community Development Block Grant Neighborhood Revitalization Program and obtain public input on possible projects to be included on a village-wide improvements survey, as required to apply for the grant money.

This is the third of five meetings to be held as a requirement of the grant, and village officials encourage residents to attend. Having a large percentage of village residents attend helps with grant scoring and shows the grant review board that Middle Point residents are willing to participate in the planning for the future.

Village residents’ presence and input will also help the village in the application process, with the possibility of being able to do more projects.
