Custer Good Friday Breakfast speaker

The YMCA of Van Wert County is hosting its annual Good Friday Prayer Breakfast on Friday, March 29, at 7 a.m. at Willow Bend Country Club. This year’s speaker is Jennifer (Ross) Custer.

Custer is a 1998 graduate of Lincolnview High School who married Crestview graduate Scott Custer after meeting in youth group at Calvary Evangelical Church.

Because of Scott Custer’s position as a project manager with Robins & Morton, the family lived in nine different states during their nearly 10 years of marriage while he helped build hospitals. They loved traveling and exploring nature together.

In 2006, Scott Custer was diagnosed with a very rare and aggressive form of cancer. Through his illness, God took the couple on an amazing journey of faith, and worked many miracles in their lives.

Jenn Custer said she is honored to share how her husband’s faith and trust in God continues to inspire others, even a year after his death.

She’ll also be speaking about the hope God has given her and how God continues to provide for her as a newly single parent of two small children, Grace and Drew. Custer and her children now attend Calvary Evangelical Church, and she loves to see them learn and grow where their parents met and were married.

All are welcome to attend the event and tickets can be purchased at the YMCA of Van Wert County for $7 each.
