As a part of its EMS Education program, Vantage Career Center recently hosted a class on trauma for local EMTs.

Unfortunately, motor vehicle accidents, farm accidents or other trauma of some type can occur at any time without warning. In an effort to keep the EMTs serving local communities up to date with the most current information, techniques, and options available, Vantage hosted Tony Stimpson for a night of training and question and answers regarding multiple types of trauma incidents.

Stimpson has functioned as a paramedic for over 28 years and currently is also a flight paramedic for Lutheran Air in Fort Wayne, Ind. He also holds the position of deputy chief for the Adams County Fire Department in Decatur, Ind.

Stimpson is a well versed, interesting, and informative EMS educator who brought a wealth of information to Vantage’s EMS continuing education class, allowing county and neighboring county EMTs to continually add to their assessment and treatment knowledge.
