AAUW offers summer camp scholarships

The Van Wert Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW), in collaboration with the Van Wert County Foundation, announces the availability of Summer 2013 educational camp scholarship opportunities for area young women currently in Grades 6 and 7.

One camp scholarship will be awarded to Be Wise Camp, a math and science experience to be held June 16-21 on the campus of Denison University in Granville.  The value of this camp scholarship is $480.  In addition, two camp scholarships will also be awarded to Camp GEMS, an engineering, math, and science camp that will be held July 14-17 on the Ohio Northern University campus in Ada.  The value of each Camp GEMS scholarship is $300.

These camp scholarship applications will be available in all Van Wert County/City school offices, or those interested may request a camp scholarship application by contacting Deb Kleinhenz at 419.238.9519.  Completed applications for these camp scholarships must be mailed as directed on the application.  The postmark deadline for receiving these camp scholarship applications is March 20.
