Queen candidates

On March 7, this year’s Peony Festival queen candidates visited the Van Wert Optimist Club. Those people interested in joining the Optimist Club should contact Jane Maus at 419.965.2731 or 419.233.4034. The Optimist Club meets every Thursday at noon at Willow Bend Country Club. The Peony Pageant Committee has also announced that pageant tickets are now on sale at Derry Drugs for $8 apiece. Come out and support the girls as they compete for the title of Queen Jubilee XXXVIII on April 5 at 7:30 p.m. at the Marsh Foundation Auditorium. (Optimist Club photo)
