Wood is Marine basic training graduate

PARRIS ISLAND, S.C. — Private Zachary J. Wood, son of Robert and Jill Wood of Van Wert, recently completed basic training with the U.S. Marines Corps at Parris Island, S.C., on March 8.

He and over 300 other young men and women graduated from this very challenging program that day.

Private Wood will be on leave for a few more days, and then will continue his training at the School of Infantry at Camp Lejeune, N.C., for two months prior to his next assignment.
