Rosemary Kappel

Rosemary Kappel, 89, of Paulding, died Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Grand Rapids Care Center in Grand Rapids (Ohio).

She was born February 19, 1924, in Henry County, the daughter of the late Joseph H. and Genevieve (Long) Dietrick. On April 8, 1967, she married Friedrich Kappel, who preceded her in death on May 26, 1998.

Survivors include 10 nieces and nephews; 19 great-nieces and nephews; 41 great-great-nieces and nephews; and one great-great-great-nephew.

Two brothers, Norbert and Bill Dietrick; and two sisters, Doris Widmer and Patricia Stults, also preceded her in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, at Divine Mercy Catholic Parish in Paulding, with Father G. Allen Fillman officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery in Paulding.

Calling hours are from 9-11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

Preferred memorials: Masses, Hospice of Northwestern Ohio, or Grand Rapids Care Center.

Arrangements are being handled by Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding.
