Bunny Hoppers meet

The Van Wert Bunny Hoppers 4-H club held its second meeting on March 7, and learned how to identify and choose the best rabbit breed for a person. The spring rabbit show will be April 21 and many volunteers will be needed, especially for the kitchen. A change this year for 4-H projects is, if club members choose to do a market rabbit project, they must also do a breeding rabbit book as well (members can do just a breeding rabbit). Libby Price also conducted a demonstration on Mini Satins, while people wanting to make a donation to the rabbit barn can contact Chris Heizman. Updates to meetings and events can be found at www.vanwertrabbit.org. The next meeting will be March 28 at the OSU Extension office, with a discussion on rabbit judging planned.
