Knights wrap up third quarter

By Taylor Hall

Crestview’s music department put on its annual Dinner Theater last weekend to a full house both Friday and Saturday nights. Some of the songs featured in the “One Hit Wonder” themed show were “Eye of the Tiger”, performed by Knight Vision, “One Tin Soldier” performed by chorus, and “The Macarena” performed by Middle School Swing Choir.

Eighth grader Baylee Hall said, “I enjoyed watching this year’s Dinner Theatre, and I’m going to miss watching the seniors perform.”

Middle school/high school softball and baseball “meet the team” was held on Thursday, March 21. At “meet the team” coaches discuss their upcoming seasons and inform the parents of their expectations for the team.

FCCLA attended Wee Care Daycare for their annual Easter egg hunt with the children on Tuesday. They had a lot of fun and the members enjoyed reliving their childhood by helping them look for their eggs.

Linda McCann’s art classes visited three art museums on Friday, March 22. The students enjoyed their visit and learned many new things about different forms of art.

Kristie McCormick’s Mass Media class has been working on their senior community service projects. Each student has a personal goal of 26 acts of kindness. Together as a class students have done one act of writing cheerful notes and putting them on random students’ cars in the parking lot at school.

Senior Elizabeth Saylor said, “I received a note and it instantly brought a smile to my face. It’s cool getting a nice note and made me want to return the kindness in some way.”

The last day of the third nine weeks is Thursday, March 28. Students wrap up with final projects, tests and homework assignments. Seniors are getting excited because graduation is quickly approaching and are working hard to get through their last nine weeks of school.
