Getting into the swing of spring

Senior Kate Bauer will be representing Crestview in Van Wert County’s Peony Pageant Friday, April 5. For the preliminary interview she spoke to three representatives from our area for part of the scoring process. Bauer said, “So far the pageant experience has been fun. I have made new friends and gotten the opportunity to get to know members of the community.”

Eighth grade boys start their baseball season Monday, April 2. The boys are excited to finally get to start playing and are happy the weather is nice enough to get started. The eighth grade girls open their season Friday, April 5.

Crestview had three teams that participated in the personal finance contest and they finished eighth, tenth, and sixtieth out of 331 teams. Tanner Skelton, Lucas Gibson, Scott Miller, and Kameron Grubaugh finished eighth and will have the opportunity to compete in the State Treasurer’s Office on April 19.

A memorial stone was dedicated to Mr. Amundson on Wednesday at Hall’s Woods. Students and staff were welcome to come and share in the memory of Mr. Amundson. He is still missed by those he impacted here at Crestview.

Paul Pohlman’s Business Management class has been working hard on mastering all the different skills to pass the state test. They have been practicing pearson squares and reviewing questions from past tests to become familiar with the material. There will be no surprises when it comes to test taking time on April 18.

The girls track team participated in a meet at Versailles . They finished sixth overall out of ten teams. Claire Zaleski placed third in the 200m Dash, fourth in the 100m Dash, and fourth in the 400m Dash. Jamie Moore, Janelle May, Leslie Skelton, Claire Zaleski placed fourth in the 4x400m Relay. Both boys and girls are back in action tonight at 5 p.m.
