Larry D. Jackson

Larry D. Jackson, 82, of Van Wert, died at 8:20 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

He was born September 26, 1930, in Addison, Mich., the son of the late Lewis Jackson and Arlene (Potter) Edie. He married Marguerite L. “Peg” (Campbell) Jackson, who preceded him in death on April 11, 2002.

Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Song Jackson of Radford, Ky.; one brother, Gary (Ann) Jackson of Tecumseh, Mich.; five sisters, Sandie (Frank) Johnson of Onsted, Mich., Melba (Bob) Martin of Traverse City, Mich., Judy Davis of Grayling, Mich., Janet (Ray) McGrath of Manitou Beach, Mich., and Joanne (Paul) Hammerstrom of Adrian, Mich.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Three sons, Larry, Mike and Rick Jackson; and a daughter, Lori Jackson, preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 6, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Paul W. Miller officiating.

Calling hours are from 2-3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorial: American Cancer Society.
