YMCA offers healthy lifestyles program
YMCA of Van Wert County news
The YMCA of Van Wert County will be starting a new healthy lifestyle program. This is for everyone, whether weight loss is needed or not.
Diet Free is all about the eight habits everyone needs to acquire — young and old, regardless of weight — in order to live a healthy life and keep cholesterol, blood sugar, blood pressure and weight where they need to be.
These same eight habits will help area residents fight an onslaught of diseases, such as cancer, heart disease, type 2 diabetes and Alzheimer’s. Yes, living a healthy lifestyle is powerful stuff, not just for those overweight.
Having said all that, if anyone is among the 65 percent of American adults who need to lose weight, even a significant amount of weight, this program will have a tremendous impact on reaching goals.
The YMCA of Van Wert County will be offering Diet Free on Monday, 6:15-7:30 p.m., starting Monday, April 22. This is will be a four-week program at $90 for Y members and $120 for non-members. This investment in one’s health is a minimal cost and will create an abundance of savings in just one year.
One may register by calling the front desk at 419.238.0443, online at www.vwymca.org or by coming in to the Y during open hours.
Information about this and other programs available at the Van Wert YMCA can be found by calling 419.238.0443 or visiting the above website. Specific questions about this “Diet Free” program can be emailed to kristin@vwymca.org.
The YMCA of Van Wert County is partially funded by the Van Wert County Foundation and United Way of Van Wert County.
