Knights are busy this spring

With prom right around the corner the junior class has been busy with meetings to finalize plans. The class has split into committees to make sure everything gets covered to make a great prom for the senior class.

Varsity baseball didn’t start their season as they would have liked; they fell to St. Johns. However, they came back strong by taking wins over Hicksville and Fort Recovery. The JV Baseball team won against Miller City as well.

The Lady Knights have been hard at work, as always, defending their state championship title as they kick off the season with four wins and three losses. They took down New Bremen with a six to two score on Saturday. They have also taken the win with Van Wert, Elida and Marion Local. Kirstin Hicks has already hit two home runs to begin the season. Along with her, senior Brittany Helt has also tallied one up in the books.

This evening the varsity girls and boys both take on the Lincolnview Lancers at Crestview with a 5 p.m. start.

Track is also getting a great start early in the season with their meets at Versailles. The Knights have hosted two home meets with Ft. Recovery, Continental, Lincolnview and Ottoville.

The Knight Pride club just finished its annual spring sport fundraiser, “The Knight Out” at the Convoy Community Building last Saturday night. They had activities such as duck races, a reverse drawing and a dinner. The proceeds from the fundraiser will go toward purchasing equipment and necessities for Crestview athletics.
