C’view competes in Minster track meet

MINSTER – The Crestview boys’ and girls’ track teams competed at the Minster Memorial Invitational Track Meet this past Saturday. The Lady Knights were 12 out of 14 teams (season record 8-18) and the Knight boys were seventh out of 14 teams (season record 13-13). Top finishers for the Lady Knights included:

400-meter dash – Claire Zaleski, eighth place, 1:08.91

Top finishers for the Knight boys included:

Long jump – Malcom Oliver, first place, 20 feet, 8.75 inches

4×200-meter relay – Crestview (I. Kline, P. Zaleski, M. Oliver, Z. Jellison), third place, 1:36.05

3200-meter run – Mycah Grandstaff, third place, 10:23.07

1600-meter run – Mycah Grandstaff, fifth place, 4:43.56

200-meter dash – Zack Jellison, fifth place, 24.04 seconds

4×400-meter relay – Crestview (B. Clayton, M. Hansard, I. Kline, Z. Jellison), fifth place, 3:48.93

800-meter run – Branden Clayton, seventh place, 2:10.04

Both Crestview track teams return to action on Tuesday, April 23, at Lincolnview against Delphos Jefferson, Fort Jennings and Antwerp.
