K-9 units participate in ‘open air sniff’

In coordination with the Van Wert City Schools, Van Wert County Sheriff’s Office and Ohio State Highway Patrol, the Van Wert Police Department completed its annual K-9 open air sniff at Van Wert High School.

Police had one K-9 unit from each law enforcement agency to help with the scheduled event.

According to the local police department, there were minimal alerts, with no evidence to support any criminal charges.
