Waldo Charles Owens

Waldo Charles Owens, 84, of Convoy, died at 5:57 p.m. Friday, April 26, 2013, at Van Wert County Hospital in Van Wert.

He was born July 10, 1928, in Convoy, the son of the late Lyman and Merle (Finkhousen) Owens. On November 1, 1947, he married Joyce A. (Ley) Owens, who survives.

Other survivors include three children, Marsha (Edward) Hoehn of Delphos, Michael (Tina) Owens of Van Wert and Lisa (Tom) Baittie of Sugar Grove, Ill.; two sisters, Marjorie (Howard) Hoblet and Juanita (Norman) Christian, both of Convoy; three brothers, Ervin (Iva Lou) Owens and Doyt (Lois) Owens, both of Convoy, and Marvin (Lenore) Owens of Monroeville, Ind.; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Three brothers, Marlin and Donald Owens and Robert in infancy; and a sister, Vivian Bowers, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Sunday, April 28, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert.
