Donald W. Shutt

Donald W. Shutt, 90, of Convoy, died at 4:28 p.m. Sunday, April 28, 2013, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind.

He was born March 30, 1923, in Van Wert County, the son of the late John and Effie (Terry) Shutt. He married Jean (Hoblet) Shutt, who also preceded him in death.

Survivors include two sons, John Shutt of Convoy and Ron (Tammy) Shutt of Nashville, Tenn.; a brother, Gayle (Velma) Shutt of Van Wert; and two grandchildren.

Two sisters, Mable Foust and Charlotte Etzler, preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Convoy, with the Rev. Rita Bair officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery in Convoy.

Calling hours are from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, at Gearhart-Jurczyk Funeral Home & Crematory in Convoy, and from noon-2 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
