Lincolnview baseball team ekes out win

McGUFFEY – The Lincolnview baseball team eked out a 5-4 victory over the Upper Scioto Valley Rams in a game played at USV on Wednesday.

Nick Leeth went 3 for 4, with an RBI and two runs scored. He also had three stolen bases. Derek Youtsey was 1 for 4, with two RBI.

Austin Leeth picked up the win for the Lancers and is now 1-1 on the season.

“We played well, defensively, and relied on all of our players to get a good win for us,” said Lincolnview Coach Kevin Longstreth. “At that plate, we did what we needed to push enough runs across.”

The Lancers will again play tonight in a league contest against the Allen East Mustangs.
