Four appear in Common Pleas Court

Four people appeared Thursday in Van Wert County Common Pleas Court for a variety of hearings.

Jonathan Maxwell, 26, of Oakwood, entered a plea of guilty to a prosecutor’s bill of information charging him with unlawful possession of dangerous ordnance, a felony of the fifth degree.

A presentence investigation was ordered and sentencing scheduled for 9 a.m. Wednesday, June 12.

Stephanie Farmer, 31, of Van Wert, changed her plea to guilty to a charge of possession of drugs, a felony of the fifth degree. A presentence investigation was ordered and sentencing set for 9 a.m. June 12.

Two people also appeared in court on probation violations.

Glenn Duval, 38, of Willshire, admitted to violating his probation by having a positive drug test, failing to report to probation and lying to his probation officer. He was resentenced to three years of community control, and a 30-day jail term added to the stipulations.

Christopher Day, 40, of Van Wert, admitted to violating his probation by drinking and possessing alcoholic beverages. He was also resentenced to three years of community control, with an additional 30 days in jail tacked on, to be served following a jail term handed down in Van Wert Municipal Court that he is currently serving.
