Lois A. Fegley

Lois A. Fegley, 93, of rural Van Wert County, died at 5:05 a.m. Thursday, May 2, 2013, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, Ind.

She was born January 1, 1920, in Craigville, Ind., the daughter of the late Clarence R. and Anna E. (Gahman) Abbott. On May 11, 1941, she married Chester Lloyd Fegley, who preceded her in death on May 7, 2003.

Survivors include seven children, Nancy Gipson of Fort Wayne, Barbara (Winston Blenckstone) Fegley of Baltimore, Md., Richard (Karen) Fegley of rural Van Wert County, Joan (Craig) Ford of Saginaw, Mich., Floyd (Mary Jane) Fegley of Fort Wayne, Dennis (Debra) Fegley of Van Wert, and Dwight (Vicki) Fegley of Bella Vista, Ariz.; a brother, Roscoe E. Abbott of rural Van Wert County; one sister, Esther Jane Henrey of rural Van Wert County; 15 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Mary Jane Bredemeyer; one brother, Walter N. Abbott; and a granddaughter, Katie Rebekah Fegley, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 6, at Calvary Evangelical Church in Van Wert, with Pastor W. Clark Williman officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

Calling  hours are from 1-6 p.m. Sunday, May 5, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert and an hour prior to services Monday at the church.
