Fleming 3rd in Elite 800-meter race

DAYTON — Van Wert High School senior Jared Fleming finished third in the Elite 800-meter run at the Wayne Invitational in Dayton on Friday.

Fleming claimed the bronze medal in a time of 1:56.48, finishing behind two Division I runners, but ahead of the Nike national and state cross country champion.
