VWCH opens new registration area

Van Wert County Hospital has announced the grand opening of its newly relocated and renovated patient hospital registration area. The plan for the new registration area location is part of the hospital’s core mission to continually provide quality healthcare in a compassionate, patient-centered environment.

Patients began registering in the newly improved area on Monday and regular office hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Patients, registering after 6 p.m. or on Saturdays and Sundays, can use the emergency department.

“We are excited to offer the new registration area for the patients of our hospital,” said Denetria Harding, director of patient financial services. “Many of our registrants enter our facility through the main hospital entrance. In our new location, our patients will take fewer steps, providing easier access to enter our registration area, and providing our patients with a new location to better serve their healthcare needs.”

The hospital’s new registration site provides easier access for patients registering for hospital procedures. Patients entering on the north side of building, at the hospital’s main entrance, will now access the registration area in a direct line of site, in addition to its closer, more accessible, location.

The renovated registration area is designed to offer a spacious pre-registration and patient seating area, a private consultation area for patients and their families to discuss confidential personal and healthcare related information, an enlarged employee work room, and a more centralized area for the hospital’s central scheduling department, where patients will continue to call and schedule healthcare appointments.
