Council OKs Enterprise Zone request

Van Wert City Council unanimously approved an Enterprise Zone agreement with National Door & Trim, which plans to expand its facility in Vision Industrial Park during a special meeting held Monday in Council Chambers.

The Enterprise Zone agreement provides 100 percent property tax abatement for a period of five years, which Mayor Don Farmer has said should be offset by increases in sales tax revenues and income tax on new employees.

National Door & Trim’s expansion is expected to add 15 jobs to the local economy.
