Harold J. Pohlman
Harold J. “Fuzz” Pohlman, 86, of Delphos, died at 4:35 a.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Delphos.

He was born March 29, 1927, in Delphos, the son of the late Aloysious and Theresa (Spieles) Pohlman. On May 28, 1949, he married Dolores “Dolly” (Etzkorn) Pohlman, who survives in Delphos.
Mr. Pohlman was an active member of the Delphos School Board for 22 years and was an active usher for St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos for 40 years. He loved traveling, gardening, gambling and loved spending time with his family. He was a member of Delphos St. John’s Church, Eagles Lodge 471, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3035, American Legion Post 268, Knights of Columbus Council 1362, and The Foresters.
He was a lifetime farmer and proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
In addition to his wife, survivors include three sons, Denny (Vickie) Pohlman of Delphos, Kevin (Annette) Pohlman of Rochester, Mich., and Glenn (Debi) Pohlman of Delphos; four daughters, Connie (Ken) Burgei of Wauseon, Beverly (Dewey) Fuerst of Van Wert, and Linda (Art) Klausing and Ann (Tony) Wrasman, both of Delphos; a brother, Paul “Bounce” (Margaret) Pohlman; two sisters, Marciel Etzkorn and LaDonna (Warren) Peterson, both of Delphos; 18 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Three sons, Daniel, Donald and Harold Pohlman; two brothers, Raymond and Jerome “Dewey” Pohlman; three sisters, Helen Dickman, Marie Berres and Ruth J. Pohlman; and two deceased grandchildren, Amber and Adam Wrasman, also preceded him in death.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, May 24, 2013, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos, with Father Chris Bohnsack officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Delphos, with graveside military rites performed by the Ottoville Veterans Council.
Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Thursday, May 23, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, with a Knights of Columbus memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. and a parish wake at 7:30 that evening.
Preferred memorials: St. John’s Church or St. Rita’s Hospice.
