VWHS to have girls’ basketball camp

The Van Wert High School girls’ basketball program will be holding its annual Lady Cougar Youth Camp June 24-27 at Van Wert High School. Sessions will run from 1-4 p.m. each day. Van Wert coaches will provide instruction, with Lady Cougar players also assisting.

The Lady Cougar Youth Camp is for girls from all area schools who are entering grades 4-8 during the 2013-2014 school year. The camp emphasizes instruction on basketball fundamentals, while there will also be daily skills competitions and team play.

Cost of the four-day camp is $45, with any additional family members just $25. The camp cost includes a t-shirt and additional camp gift for each girl. Team and individual awards will also be presented, based on the results of the daily competitions.
